#02201 M.50 Tap, aka: M.5 & .50UNM Tap design: 3 flute Plug with TiN coating made to DIN standards thread pitch 0.125mm threading length approximate 2.5mm, Shank 0.039" made from hardened high speed steel our taps are designed for production taping in Automatic screw machines, Tappers, CNC lathes and CNC mills. The coating used TiN (Titanium Nitride) very thin and smooth, increases tap performance and tool life. In our shop TiN coated taps typically tapped three times the number of holes compared to uncoated. Image is representative of the item for sales.
