M1.4 Tap, aka: 1.40UNM Tap design: 3 flute Plug style with TiN coating made to ISO standards thread pitch 0.30mm threading length approximate 5.0mm / 0.200” , Shank 2.0mm / 0.078" made from hardened high speed steel our taps are designed for production taping in Automatic screw machines, Tappers, CNC lathes and CNC mills. The coating used TiN (Titanium Nitride) very thin and smooth, increases tap performance and tool life. In our shop TiN coated taps typically tapped three times the number of holes. Overall length is 33mm / 1.300" threaded length (tip to end of thread) 5.00mm (0.200") lengths can vary slightly between batches. Price listed is for 1 to 9 pieces
