M.8 Tap, aka: 0.80UNM Tap design: Roll Form Plug with TiN coating made to ISO 2 (3G) standards thread pitch 0.200mm threading length approximate 3.0mm, Shank 1.50mm (0.060") made from hardened high speed steel our taps are designed for production taping in Automatic screw machines, Tappers, CNC lathes and CNC mills. The coating used TiN (Titanium Nitride) very thin and smooth, increases tap performance and tool life. In our shop TiN coated taps typically tapped three times the number of holes. Overall length is 25mm (0.984") threaded length (tip to end of thread) 3.00mm (0.120") Shank diameter is 1.50mm. Please note that lengths can vary slightly between batches.
